Here's what we've been up to this past month on the layout.
- Banff station platform installed and secured to the benchwork. I cut the scrap 1/8 hardboard to resemble the prototype platform using images from Google Earth. Painted with rattle cans, faded it with an airbrush then glued the whole thing down with polyurethane glue.
- Weathering Osborn Model Kits scenic ties with a grey/brown wash to resemble rotten ties used as a border between the ballast and the station platform.
- First scratchbuilt structure built for the layout. The 100+ year old Banff Ice House which resided at the east end of the yard. Simple styrene structure with printed wall and roof details made using actual photographs of the 1:1 structure on Corel Draw X7.
Thanks for watching!
