Aabheri - Strings Attached - Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh & Shri R Kumaresh

Aabheri - Strings Attached - Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh & Shri R Kumaresh In the words of the artists, "The first time we played together, we really liked the resulting tone. The violin is an octave higher than the veena and together they create a beautiful soundscape.

Through Strings Attached, we present a lot of our own compositions that are created in an effort to highlight the intrinsic voice of our respective instruments as well as complement the other artist's musicality.

Strings Attached has been a journey of discovery and adventure. With tradition backing us, imagination taking us on this path, what comes out of two minds that have a synergy while at work and otherwise, is always an element of surprise! "

Strings Attached, a journey of thoughts, ideas and debates with different viewpoints and exciting climaxes – all in the language of Carnatic music, is being presented by the husband-wife duo of Violin maestro R. Kumaresh and Veena virtuoso Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh, two of the foremost instrumentalists in their respective fields.

Along with them in this video are K.U. Jayachandra Rao on Mridangam and Trichy Krishnaswamy on Ghatam.
