She is from Mizoram state. The 105th Rajya Sabha Committee on Petition was formed in the year 1995 and submitted their final report on 14th August 1997. The committee submitted its report with special recommendations after studying the problem being faced by the Chakma Tribals of Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Mizoram state in India.
