“Why have you shot me grandad?” These are the shocking words uttered by 6-year-old Stanley Metcalf after his great grandfather, Albert Grannon, shot him at point blank range with an air rifle. Last week the 78-year-old was sentenced to three years in jail for killing his great-grandson after pleading guilty to manslaughter. A sentence that has divided a once close and loving family. Today Stanley’s bereft parents Jenny Dees and Andy Metcalf are fighting to change the law on gun control and join us to explain why they’ll never be able to forgive Albert for his crime.
