At ELM, we make learning magical. However, the path to get to that magic isn't always clear, nor is it free of roadblocks. For that reason, oftentimes, we recommend learning experience design consulting, learning, consulting, can help and doesn't have to be a massive undertaking when it comes to building a strategy around your Learning Initiative. So for now, let me leave you with five reasons why you might need learning experience design consulting. Number one, your alignment is off. Often with large learning initiatives. There are a lot of different stakeholders with a lot of competing priorities. consulting can help you get in alignment and make sure that you're all working towards the same goal.

Number two, you're struggling with TMI: too much information. There's data and documents and content everywhere and you need to find out what's relevant. What's going to be the most important for your learners to learn, and how do we make sure that it's executed on in a way that's designed specifically for the learning experience. Or you're suffering from NEI: not enough information. You have a huge initiative and hardly any content to back it up, we can help you decipher and value prioritize how to get to the content that you need.

Number three, you're feeling a little off balance with your learning initiative. You want to use a blended learning experience approach and how you design that blended experience can't just be made up, you really need to decide and have an emphasis on how much instructor-led training you use, versus how much digital training you use, and that's very dependent on what you're trying to achieve.

Number four, you're dealing with a lot of different priorities. As with any Learning Initiative, there are a lot of different pieces and it's hard to know what to do first, what to do next, where to invest your money that's going to make the biggest impact. So deciding what goes in that biggest bucket, what's next, and what's last as far as how to prioritize your learning strategy. Consulting can certainly help with that as well.

Finally, you need to train the trainers, perhaps you grew really fast and you have a brand new, larger learning and development team, you have a team that's never really worked together before and a department that's brand new, getting established, you want to make sure that they can quickly get up to speed, collaborate and be the most efficient.

Consulting can come in and help them learn to work together. So hopefully, by the end, they're all singing Kumbaya, and things are working seamlessly.

For all those reasons, and possibly a few more, consulting can really help your learning initiative. Ultimately, no matter what, the goal of consulting is to help you get to that finish line faster. With a well thought out strategy that's going to make meet your business objective and isn't that what we all want?
