We Found Something Amazing Gold Prospecting!

Why do we chase gold with unrelenting enthusiasm?

For most of us, as micro mining outfits, we will never turn a real profit. In reality, we will likely spend more on fuel, travel and food than we ever will get back out of the pay dirt.

For me personally it’s the rush of finding it, its my adrenaline dump. Whether its seeing that first flash of gold colour in a pan, the nugget sitting in the sluice riffles or with wailing sound of gold under a detector coil its certain to get my heart pumping!

However, even though its unlikely most of us will strike it big there is a chance, probably a better chance than the local lottery draw, that we will find something truly amazing in our quest for treasure.
And its not always what you’d expect to find, just like what happened in this video where Mick and I dug a nice sample of mustard gold that produced an unexpected find.
