They are also posing as Brands to get access to your channel! If You Want to Protect Your YouTube Channel From Internet Scams you need to do the following things to keep your YouTube Channel Safe:
- Update the email address in your ABOUT SECTION to be a business email NOT tied to your YouTube account and Google Adsense Account. Avoid phishing scams!
- Use Two Factor Authentication on YouTube/Google and All your Social Media Accounts.
- Use your YouTube/Google Account EXCLUSIVELY for YouTube and don't give it to anyone publicly going forward.
- DONOT use your YouTube/Gmail Account for any other social media or any email correspondence. This his how they get you with phishing scams.
- DONOT use 3rd Party Apps that are NOT YouTube Certified.
- UPDATE Your YouTube/Google Password and make it complex. Consider using a password app of some kind.
-AVOID saving your password in your browser if possible.
- Have your own EMAIL LIST, I recommend using ConvertKit
-Have your own Website/Blog I recommend BLUEHOST
-Consider backing up all your videos PHYSICALLY On External Drives
- UPLOAD TO OTHER PLATFORMS LIKE VIMEO AND IGTV
Consider distributing them in other social media 3 days or a week after you Upload to YouTube (I know everyone hates competing with your YouTube channel, but you need to be on other platforms now).
