Renascence Bulldogge - Building a Better Bulldog Inside & out

Some Renascence Bulldogges from Gargoyle Kennels.

The Renascence Bulldogge is a recreation of the athletic working Bulldog that existed from about 1800 - 1900. The word Renascence, not to be confused with the word Renaissance, means rebirth. My Renascence Bulldogges are intended to be a rebirth of the old time bulldog gladiator that existed before the show crowd took over the bulldog's future and began breeding them for ever exaggerated traits... a overly bully head type, a non functional wide chest and a short back causing the kinked and screw tails. After a few generations of this they turned a once mighty athlete and k9 gladiator into a crippled special Olympian (no disrespect intended towards the disabled).

While I don't condone blood sports I can certainly respect the dogs that were forged by them and cruelly forced to participate in them. I have used personal protection, agility and other activities to test my dogs physically and mentally and have over the last 30yrs created a athletic working bulldog I am proud of.

There are some out there who are lying to people and 'claim' they are breeding Renascence Bulldogges'. If the dogs don't come from me or those working 'closely' with me they aren't the real deal. YOU ARE BEING RIPPED OFF.

*** The Renascence Bulldogge has EB, Hermes OEB along with pitbull, bullmastiff, english mastiff and American bulldog in it's breed foundation. The Black and tan and chocolate and tan coat colors seen in my bloodline and now in several OEBs that have my dogs mixed into them come from a black and tan Sorrel line pitbull I used when creating my dog. I used Old Family Red Nose pit too. :-)
