MVIS Best Practices Part 1: Introduction and Job Site Basics

MVIS Best Practices Part 1: Introduction and Job Site Basics This is part 1 in a 5 part series to learn best practices to installing LATICRETE® MVIS™ (Masonry Veneer Installation Systems). In this series, MVIS expert Bob Duke discusses masonry job site basics for thin brick and stone masonry installations such as stone veneer. He discusses how to handle each piece, cleaning and proper installation methods.

In part 1, he reviews different types of stones and best practices to clean stone prior to installing it. He reviews thin brick, manufactured stone, natural stone and large composites. You’ll learn techniques on how to clean it with a sponge or a whisk broom.

LATICRETE has developed the MVIS system to provide a permanent, high strength installation that is freeze / thaw stable and protected from water intrusion. It’s backed by either the LATICRETE® 15 Year System Warranty or 25 Year System Warranty. The Masonry Veneer Installation System (MVIS™) allows for increased productivity using either traditional masonry veneer installation techniques or the “tile setter’s” method.
