The point of marketing yourself is to help potential fans discover your music and hopefully share it with their friends. It's important to keep your music and your brand in front of them as much as possible without irritating them. The idea is to stay in the forefront of their minds. So consistency matters--in fact, if you aren't consistent and disappear for a couple months or so, it's like starting over from scratch when you do start up again. The key is to reach the right potential fans so the ads (or whatever method you are using) convert for the lowest price possible. You will constantly be testing to see what works best for you. In this video, we discuss some of the more well known ways that rappers promote themselves: Spotify Playlists, TikTok and Triller campaigns, Influencer campaigns on Instagram, Soundcloud and YouTube promotions, Street teams, Club promotions, etc.

There is a lot of misinformation out here as well. Try to get advice from the folks who have had success and who are still actively creating success for other people--currently!! Research everything. Decide what success means for you and put together your plan to get there. Then follow the plan.

There is more than enough information on this YouTube channel to help a rapper make money, but I suggest you do MORE research and see how others succeed in this industry.
