How To Play Good Sounding Chords Using A 2-5-1 Progression

How To Play Good Sounding Chords Using A 2-5-1 Progression In this lesson, we will take a simple 2-5-1 progression and play it using chord voicings for a better sound! The chords you will be playing are fancier and sound good!

Chord Voicings will be taught by using the number system. For example one of the chords played and taught in this piano lesson is the C minor 7th chord.

The notes that make up a C minor 7 chord are C, Eb, G, and Bb using the root, minor 3rd, 5th, and the minor 7th (ie. 1, b3, 5, b7).

To make the C minor 7 chord sound more interesting with will voice the chord 1, 7, 3, 5.

The left hand will play 1, b7 and the right hand will play b3 and 5.

Everything is explained in this piano lesson.
