Ferrari to Build Car Suited to Vettel

Despite beating his 4-time champion teammate in his Ferrari debut, Charles Leclerc will stay take the back seat when it comes to preferences in car design as Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto had the following to say:

“We will design a car that is more in line with Sebastian's driving style. With more downward pressure on the back. The lack of downforce resulted in more speed, but that did not work out as hoped. Seb had more trouble with the car than Charles, especially at the start of the season. After the summer break, it was better because we made adjustments to the car.”

“Vettel is definitely a driver who is at the heart of our project. He is the most experienced and knows the team well. His feedback is very important and Leclerc has learned a lot from it."

Honda Says Max Like a Young Senna

Red Bull and Max Verstappen have shown that Honda is capable of again winning races in Formula 1 and Honda motorsports general manager Masashi Yamamoto sung high praise for the Dutchman.

"At Honda, we see him as a very important factor with Honda's project. He's young, but his driving is really impressive. It looks like seeing a young Senna, with his relationship with Honda.”

"Max pays respect to Honda. He feels Honda is familiar. And then the badge he showed on the podium in Austria proved that he was very happy as well. This gives us an emotion that we want to provide a good engine for him."

Hamilton Felt the Pressure of Bottas 2.0

It would be easy to say looking back at how much he dominated that Hamilton’s 2019 was smooth sailing but the 6-time champion admits he had his concerns early on in the season.

“The first couple of races are usually not perfect for me. They're still not bad, still better than average, but then there's all the outside pressures of 'Valtteri 2.0' and I'm thinking, 'We're 2-2 at one stage, two wins apiece’.”

"I've got to stay solid in my mind, I can't allow the outside factors to affect me... but being human it's very hard not to notice those things."
