WATCH: Klobuchar and Buttigieg trade barbs over experience and ability to win Sen. Amy Klobuchar said in the last Democratic debate that Mayor Pete Buttigieg “basically mocked the hundred years of experience on the stage.” In response, Buttigieg said Klobuchar “denigrated” his experience as well. “If you want to talk about the capacity to win, try putting together a coalition to bring you back to office with 80 percent of the vote as a gay dude in Mike Pence’s Indiana,” he said. Klobuchar and Buttigieg are two of the seven Democrats vying for their party's 2020 presidential nomination who met on the stage for the sixth Democratic debate on Dec. 19, hosted by the PBS NewsHour and POLITICO.
