Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali receives the 2019 Hessian Peace Prize award.

The award ceremony was held on 10TH DECEMBER 2019in the Landtag. Germany.

The Ethiopian Minister of peace Muferiat Kamil received the prize on behalf of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali.

The President of Hessian Peace Prize board, Boris rayon ,during the ceremony, said that, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed's achievement for peace of East Africa was great and unbelievable.


The Hessian Peace Prize is awarded to people who have rendered “outstanding services to international understanding and peace”

The Hessian Peace Prize was founded on 16 October 1993, and Marianne Heiberg-Holst of Norway was the first winner
for mediating between Israel and the PLO.
