Phil Lamie sees the hallways of Towne Meadow Elementary as a blank canvas, ready to be filled with beautiful paintings, drawings and sculptures. Since 2000, the elementary art teacher has been transforming those white walls into an art gallery with hundreds of student masterpieces. Lamie doesn’t need expensive paint brushes and supplies for his students to create these remarkable works of art. In fact, his latest collaborative art project uses a common household item, Q-tips.
