Promising Young Woman is an upcoming American drama thriller film, written and directed by Emerald Fennell in her directorial debut. It stars Carey Mulligan, Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Connie Britton, Adam Brody, Jennifer Coolidge, Laverne Cox, Max Greenfield, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Sam Richardson, Clancy Brown and Molly Shannon. It will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2020. It is scheduled to be released on April 17, 2020, by Focus Features.
