Every year fall we (mostly my husband) harvest ginkgo fruits from an old ginkgo biloba tree so that we may snack the lovely nut inside. There is a catch, when crushed the bright orange cherry-like fruits smell like a combination of vomit and dog poo. Lovely, eh?
