Great way to end 2019 & start 2020 | Football Tournament, Youth U12's

Christmas Football Tournament, successfully completed on the 23rd of December 2019. Great turnout, energy by players, parents and coaches. Many more to come in 2020.

Inv3ntive Football Academy hosted and planned an exciting Christmas Tournament for youth teams that play regular matches in a league. The academy with 9 teams in total from u7’s to u16’s that play in Middlesex Youth League, affiliation number (V-MID1992). The tournament was be held at Swift road, on 3G-astro pitches. It was be managed well by FA Qualified & DBS/CRC checked staff.

Purpose of the event:

· Giving players the chance to build friendship with their teammates
· Building players self-confidence by getting them to play many matches with their team, allowing them to constantly challenge themselves to do better in every game
· Building parents relationships
· Giving players huge amount of time on the ball so they keep expressing themselves
· For coaches/managers to enjoy their team play and a way for them to analysis and try new approach with their team

Format of the tournament:

On the day we had 9 teams attending that confirmed before hand. The format used was Round Robin, where each and every team played each other once and all the results were recorded in a table. This format allowed us to achieve out aim, which was to provide more game time to young players as each team easily got over 2 hours competitive and controlled football to play. Each team played 8 games in total and there were over 8 players in each team. Matches we 12 minutes long and 3 minutes break was provided at the end of each game. Coaches constantly had to view the fixtures sheet that they were given at the beginning of the tournament so they know who their team is playing next. Every game was on on a fixed schedule.

The results were announced at the end of the tournament, all participants were rewarded with a medal for taking part and top 2 teams were given trophies.

Refreshments available throughout out the day for players, parents and coaches.
