On the day of President Trump’s July phone call with Ukraine’s leader, a White House budget official sent an email urging budget and pentagon aides to “please hold off” on sending the aid “pending direction,” newly released emails show. The Trump administration pushed back, saying there’s “nothing new” about the timing of the emails.
