As the debate for the opposition to field a single presidential candidate in the 2021 general election continues, the Uganda People's Congress party argues that they have another priority, fielding candidates at lower-level positions. Party president Jimmy Akena today explained their position on the matter, arguing that the only way the opposition can weaken the ruling party, is to have more candidates at lower levels.
