Civic Rights Activist Laura Miti discusses the need for accountability in Public spending in Zambia

This interview took place in May 2018. Miti sits down with Innovation for Change to discuss her arrest for protesting the fire truck tender for 42 fire trucks that was awarded at a cost of for US$42 million. The peaceful, legal demonstration outside parliament was quickly disbanded with the protest leaders taken into custody.

Here she discusses the role of Civil Society in ensuring that public servants are held accountable for how they spend public funds.
