Batman is Not Ruining Comics... We All Are.

I've seen some presenting the opinion that Batman is ruining comics, or at least has contributed to a decline in their quality and the uniqueness of each character. I wanted to talk about why that's wrong, doesn't make any sense, and the Batman over-saturation situation is just history repeating itself. Every time something becomes popular, it's pushed to the forefront of a market and other things get pushed down. There's several reasons for that that are worth looking at, and I also want to examine why us comics fans and the companies that make them need to do a better job at actually promoting whats new and different and interesting.
