AOC critiqued UBER for one of its Greenlight Hubs in Providence Rhode Island having a discriminatory and segregationist washroom policy that divided formal employees from UBER Partners (the drivers who are mistreated but do the majority of the labour that allows UBER to function). She said this was "uncalled for" This shows the hierarchical nature of the tech and gig economic giants, and shows that while some corporations gesture progressively with accessible and gender neutral Washrooms, they still feel fully comfortable in discriminating against poor, working-class, and lower-status people.
