3 Traits You Can Confidently Respect and Model In Yourself by J Loren Norris

3 Traits You Can Confidently Respect and Model In Yourself by J Loren Norris DID YOU DO THE RESPECT EXERCISE? WHICH TRAITS WERE COMMON AMONG THOSE YOU RESPECT?
I understand most of you are busy and taking time to THINK is not a “productive use of time.” BTW did you see the video of the roofers who decided to remove the chimney they were replacing by pushing it over and allowing it to tumble off the roof?
Now they get to replace 10 feet of decking too. The chimney made a nice hole as it fell through. Thinking time might have been MORE PRODUCTIVE for them.
So how’s your list? Your thinking time to consider the traits you respect about others and the common denominators of those traits should have been well invested. If you finished the list you should have 3-5 new character goals for your own personal growth journey as a leader in 2020.
In case you cannot find time to think, here are my three favorite things to consider when deciding if I respect someone enough that I want to be like them:
1. How do they treat others? Especially those many would consider if lesser stature.
2. Are they respected equally by those who know them deeply as they are by those who know their brand or reputation alone?
3. Do they give respect first even in a new or unknown relationship?
If these traits are present in your life, you will be respectful and respected as a leader. If they are not, there is no better time to start than now.
