3 FOOT FELT CHRISTMAS TREE: Off the Mat, Larger than the Mat with Cricut

3 FOOT FELT CHRISTMAS TREE: Off the Mat, Larger than the Mat with Cricut This project was inspired by my love for FELT! I enjoy crafts that I can involve my toddler son in. He has a BLAST playing with the felt tree. It has brought so much magic into our home & it is ENDLESS fun! It did require quite a bit of work BUT none of which was difficult. My Cricut Maker cut out all of the pieces. The only piece I cut by hand was the tree itself but the Maker created the stencil so it came out perfect! A special shout out to Jumprope for helping me create this tutorial. Happy crafting, friends.

TIPS
-When cutting out your tree go wider than your stencil to make sure none of the stencil will show from the back
-Cut your HeatNBond to fit each color felt sheet you’ll be using for ornaments.
-Allow HeatNBond to cool before removing the backing
-Attach all ornaments & lights together in the shape of your felt sheet & cut out sets of lights & ornaments by loading your mat with one color of felt at a time & cutting out the exact same pattern
-Use scissors to cut through any part of your felt that isn’t completely cut by your Cricut. DONT PULL! It stretches & ruins the felt
-Use heat press to melt HeatNBond sides of the ornaments & lights together. This creates double sided felt, which means both sides will stick to your tree. I used different colors together to make it fun
-I used a larger piece of yellow & I added the stars in DS when cutting out the yellow ornaments/lights

TIME STAMPS

06:29 Step 18: Add a square and resize to the size of your felt sheets. Mine were 8x11
