Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has tracked down and dismantled one of the country’s largest illegal online drug stores, as shown by footage released on Wednesday.

The investigation was carried out in ten Russian regions with security officers confiscating a total of 440 kilograms of drugs. It is estimated the drugs would have had a street value in excess of 650 million roubles (€9.2m, $10.1m).

Authorities also reported that the investigation led to the arrests of seven online store employees, who worked as interregional and regional couriers.

“Two detainees from the criminal group were responsible for the delivery of particularly large quantities of drugs (from 150 to 300 kilograms) from Moscow and St. Petersburg to larger territories in the Central, Volga, Ural and Siberian federal districts, the rest [were responsible] for wholesale drug distribution and sale (from 3 to 50 kg) to concrete regions,” the FSB said in a statement.
