Along with his colleagues Michael Kremer and Esther Duflo, Abhijit Banerjee was awarded the 2019 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his work on figuring out what works to alleviate poverty. Banerjee spoke with DW about the award, his work and economic research and his life.
