How Many Laptop Batteries Does It Take to Make an Electric Vehicle?

How Many Laptop Batteries Does It Take to Make an Electric Vehicle? I have been collecting lithium ion batteries from old scrap computer laptops. Inside the average battery pack contains about 8-18650 sized cells. These popular sized cells usually have lots of service left in them, even if the machine they were powering is DOA. I show how I collect, test and build a quick and dirty prototype spot welder to connect these cells together with nickel strips. I plan on using these collected lithium cells to make a larger battery pack and power some sort of DC electric powered vehicle in the future.
