U.S. citizen and Marine veteran Jilmar Ramos-Gomez was detained after a Grand Rapids Police captain called immigration officials on him. He was held in a immigration detention center for three days. On Tuesday, Nov. 12, Grand Rapids City Commission voted unanimously to pay Ramos-Gomes at $190,000 settlement. The police captain involved served a two-day suspension. ►Read more:
