Ending any relationship is difficult. Relationship breakups are stressful enough without having to deal with narcissistic abuse. When you end a relationship with a narcissist, you may feel like you are going crazy. The narcissistic relationship is not built on fairness or truth. It is built on illusions and when you break up with a narcissist, you can expect there to be plenty of drama.

The codependent narcissistic relationship is complex. The codependent lives in denial and is unable to acknowledge red flags. The narcissist will exploit the codependent and marginalize the codependent if and when they dare raise a red flag about the narcissistic abuse. Even if it is clear as to why the codependent narcissistic relationship has ended, a narcissist will never agree with you as to why the relationship had to end.

The narcissistic breakup will cause you to doubt yourself and you may even feel like you are going crazy. This is part of their agenda. When ending a narcissistic relationship, you can expect to have your reality messed with. The one thing you should never hold out for is closure. You'll never get closure with a narcissist so learning to let it go will help you move on faster.
