Was the Qur'an an example of Arab cultural theft and re-attribution? Gabriel Sawma Prof. Gabriel Sawma, author of "The Qur'an: Misinterpreted, Mistranslated, and Misread. The Aramaic Language of the Qur'an." argues that the Arabs have oppressed the Aramaean people and their language for centuries. He makes the case that the Arabs were the cultural inferiors. He also points that many places in the Middle East have Aramaic names.
