Needy to get quicker, easier access to civil legal aid

The needy will soon get quicker and easier access to civil legal aid. From Oct 16, the Legal Aid Bureau will implement a new means test procedure for assessing applicants. By simplifying the means test and reducing the number of documents to be submitted, applicants will have an easier time applying for legal aid. The changes are part of Singapore's plans to improve access to justice.
