Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe Israeli President Reuven Rivlin is set to give opposition Blue and White party leader Benny Gantz with the mandate to form a government on Wednesday, October 23 in Jerusalem.
On Monday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he had failed to form a new coalition that can win a Knesset majority after almost four weeks of trying.
Gantz will have 28 days to form a government. If he fails to muster a new government, any Knesset Member will have 21 days to secure a majority in Parliament. If no one succeeds, a new election will be announced.
