People are always quick to demonize the "new" thing whether its dating apps, Facebook, VR and now TikTok, but will eventually come around to adopting it in masses. Tindr used to be a taboo concept because it was about using an app for something that people did in person. Uber got backlash for being more dangerous than a taxi. People always push at first and then warm up to the idea later.
