loudlabsmerch.com RIVERSIDE - On Monday night, August 19, 2019, the City of Riverside Fire department along with the Riverside Police Department and AMR responded to reports of a vehicle vs pedestrian hit and run traffic collision. The major injury hit and run was reported around 8:26pm in the 8900 block of Indiana Avenue. When officers arrived they located a male victim down in the roadway. The victim was rushed to an area hospital with major injuries. According to friends of the victim, who wished not to be on camera, they say they were getting ready to head out for the night when their friend realized he forgot something in the house. He exited the car which was facing eastbound on Indiana Avenue, and was crossing the street when a vehicle struck him, sending him flying into the air. They say the driver was speeding like he was in an Indy Race and never attempted to stop. Police have closed Indiana Avenue in both directions between Monroe Street and Haskell Street while they conduct their investigation.
