Final Fantasy 8 Remastered vs Fan Mods - Homage or Laziness? You Decide!

Final Fantasy 8 Remastered has been a wonderful excuse to play to relive some 90's nostalgia and I confess I am having a blast! However, the game has been critised for doing the bare minimum to justify that 'Remastered' label and this news probably won't help Square's case. Unless, it can be said that they are paying homage to the fans perhaps? In any case, the similarities between the fan modded design of the card back and the official Remastered design is striking!
