Chinese tourists reducing their budgets in the Big Apple America’s most-visited city New York is on course to welcome 14 million international tourists in 2019. However, visitors from China -- traditionally the biggest-spending tourists -- are reducing their budgets when they hit the Big Apple. The US Travel Association estimates Chinese tourists spend almost $7,000 per trip, 50% more than other international travellers. But the trade war, a slowing Chinese economy, and a stronger US dollar means Chinese tourists are tightening their belts.
