Chidambaram Gothsu!  Traditional Brinjal side dish for Breakfast!! This video shows how to make a traditional dish from the temple town of Chidambaram. It is made by roasting large brinjals over an open flame ,and then adding Dal and spices to the peeled mashed brinjals.
Ingredients
Brinjal one (large)
Cooked Tuvar dal(pigeon pea lentils)1/2 cup
Salt
Hing/Asafoetida a pinch
Oil 3 tsp
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
Green chillies 2
Cashewnuts a few
ginger a small piece
Curry leaves a few
Lemon juice (half a lemon)
Coriander leaves a few
