Well, it depends! This is a bit tricky to answer and, ultimately, you're going to have to make your own decision. A little discomfort and, some may say, pain are a normal part of running and should be expected as you run; when you run you are building your muscles and strengthening your ligaments. This strengthening can lead to your body not feeling as good as it does when you're at rest.
***If you ever have any sharp pain or pain that won't go away after a day or two, PLEASE SEE A DOCTOR!***
Your brain is an important tool in your running repertoire; it can, and will, try to convince you you've had enough. It's like an evolutionary safety mechanism, but you can override it. You just have to practice!
