Ask him/her about what happened. Do not judge. Do not label.

When children say 𝐍𝐎 it does not mean that they are insulting you or someone else. There may be a reason behind it. Figure that out by being compassionate and patient.

If you will not respect the child's NO, he/she will never be able to raise his/her voice in front of strangers or elders of the family, if needed.

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝘆 #𝗡𝗢.

And if your child is saying #𝐍𝐎 just stop at that point.
