How to Eat on a Budget in Japan - Family Mart!

How to Eat on a Budget in Japan - Family Mart! My family of three recently spent a couple of weeks in Japan, and like most families, we had to work within a budget. One way we were able to do that was having at least one meal per day (usually lunch) at a Family Mart. They're everywhere in Japan! It seems you never have to walk more than a block or two to find one. Family Mart isn't like most convenience stores you may be familiar with, as it it stocked with a wide variety of market-fresh foods to choose from. We were able to get out of any given Family Mart with a good, tasty lunch for three for around 1,000-1,200Y (10-12 $US) - including drinks!
