Monitor I Use - BenQ PD2700U -
Benefits
Larger Surface Area - if using a laptop to edit in Final Cut Pro, having a larger display can make your workflow much faster and easier. Using a 27” monitor like mine allows you to have all your tools displayed on screen, and still retain a nice size viewer window.
Dual Display Mode - Final Cut Pro is optimized for use with multiple displays. This allows you to have certain parts of the application displayed on the second monitor. You can have your timeline on the second display, your viewer, or the media browser. My preferred choice is to have my media browser on the second display, so all my tools are right at my fingertips, and all my media is still easily accessible.
AV Output - Final Cut Pro lets you output your video signal to a reference monitor. This shows you what the finished video looks like, without any on screen controls that you may see in the viewer. Outputting the video to a calibrated reference monitor also lets you get a proper color grade for your videos
