How to Kerf Wood for Architectural Details (Most Pros Screw This Up)

How to Kerf Wood for Architectural Details (Most Pros Screw This Up) I decided to post a video about how to kerf wood for architectural details. It seems that it's a lost art among professional builders who just randomly cut dozens of kerfs with a circular saw to get wood to bend. In this video, I show the correct way to calculate how many kerfs to cut and then show cutting them with a handsaw. This is the best possible result you can get with kerfing wood. The only improvement upon this method is steam bending, but this takes far less time and will work for a board of any size or length. I had to do a lot of kerfing to restore my porch and I draw from that experience with this video.
