Afternoon Jelly Feeder Close Up - No Birds, Just Rain

Afternoon Jelly Feeder Close Up - No Birds, Just Rain Unedited video of the grape jelly feeder on a stormy summer afternoon. Short summer rain shower and the sound of airliners passing overhead.

Taken at approx. 5 PM July 24, 2019 in the San Diego County mountain community of Descanso, CA in the Cleveland National Forest. Just a few miles away are the Cuyumaca Rancho State Park and the Laguna Mountain Recreation Area.

Many thanks to Jan for the great jelly feeder. It's a Perky-Pet Oriole Jelly Feeder available at

Some of the birds you might see or hear include:

Bullock's Oriole, Western Scrub Jay, Stellar's Jay, Blackheaded Grosbeak, Oak and Juniper Titmouse, White Breasted Nuthatch, House Finch, Mountain Sparrow, Red Headed Woodpecker, Nuttal's Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Western Bluebird, Band-tailed Pigeon, Mourning Doves, American Robin, American Crow, Hummingbirds and more.

All these videos are going up on my personal channel until I can learn how to properly shoot and edit footage for a dedicated backyard habitat type channel. These are all basically test videos to see what works. Right now we are using a Panasonic Lumix camera, several years old.

If you are interested in attracting backyard songbirds or have any feeding, filming or general tips on creating a backyard habitat, please leave a comment below. Backyard feeding set up has been going for four years but just recently learning how to use this camera to record some videos.
