Hey guys it’s Kiki and today I’m going to be showing you guys 17 ways to decorate your bullet journal and decorating alternatives. So without further ado let’s get on with the video.

The 1st way is to Use washi tape. Washi tape is one of the easiest ways to decorate a bullet journal if you want it to be systematic but decorative. Use washi tape to divide areas OR you can use it to stick in any photos or printed sheets. You can get washi tape almost anywhere so this is an affordable and easy option.

The 2nd way is to Use stickers. With stickers, you can really get creative as there are sooooo many different types of stickers. This is one that I got from daiso I think and it just has these animals in a circus. You will really be able to customise your bullet journal with stickers as there are sooooo many different types out there.

The 3rd way is to Use stamps. So although this isn’t my favourite option, however, if you have many or collect stamps, this could be a great way to spice up your bullet journals.

The 4th way is to Use printed material. This is one I think many people actually already do. So basically you can print out anything from grids and spreads to things like drawings. For example if you are doing a flower theme, you could print out more complicated flowers.

The 5th way is to Use scrapbooking paper. So I would recommend this to anyone who already has scrapbooking paper. But if you don’t you could also use patterned paper such as origami for decoration.

The 6th way is to Cut out pieces from magazines. This is for people who are very creative. It’s pretty self explanatory but basically just use any magazines and cut out anything you like. So as you can see, in here I am just using an ikea booklet and just cutting out this pattern. I found that the ikea booklet was especially good for this as there were many pretty colours and patterns that you could definitely use for decoration.

The 7th way is to Use sticky notes. I actually love this because you can actually get sticky notes that are made for bullet journals. I don’t have any however there are sticky notes with weekly spreads on them. But you can also use cute sticky notes for decoration.

The 8th way is to Use colours. I know that this might seem obvious but if you use colours you can actually make your bullet journals look so much better. Yeah use these muji colour pens to add some colours.

The 9th way is to Use highlighters. This is probably my favourite way to decorate, but using highlighters is sooooo useful as you can use it for decoration but also for systematic things such as separating areas.

The 10th way is to Use only one colour scheme. So this ties in with the previous ways but basically using too much colour can actually make it look like too much and can make it worse. Try using only one colour such as only pink or only blue.

The 11th way is to Use a gray highlighter. This is actually soooo useful as you can use it to not only decorate but separate the page or seperate sections. I like using the gray Mildliner however you can use any other gray highlighters or brush pens.

The 12th way is to Use a ruler. So a lot of people actually freehand their lines, however using a ruler can actually make your bullet journal look much much neater. If you have seen any of my plan with me videos, you would know that I always use a ruler because I am absolutely terrible at free handing lines.

The 13th way is to Try new ways of drawing titles. This is such an easy fix as it’s really simple to learn new titles and implement them into your bullet journal spreads. There are many many different types of titles that you can use. I have a whole video on different titles for inspiration so I’ll leave the link in the cards. If you guys want me to do another video on different titles please let me know.

The 14th way is to Try keeping it minimalist.

The 15th way is to Use repetition for consistency.

The 16th way is to Learn calligraphy.

The 17th way is to Practice practice practice.
