www.studiobeeproductions.com Well here was yet another large hive from the same shed that I had already removed and relocated 2 other hives from, and to be honest, I was grateful there were no more, that shed was hot and dark. I did have some great help on this removal as well, Derick, a bee keeper in our bee club, the River Region Bee Club, the lucky fella that all 3 hives went home with, and Billy, the home owner and co worker with Derick.
I talk a lot about the comb on this one, the configuration of it as well as how I frame it inside our bee frames. The bees themselves were very gentle and no one was stung on the removal. We did remove about 60 pounds of honey, not including what was given to the bees, and both Billy and Derick received that bounty.
At the end of the video I am including the last of the pictures of the Swarm Challenge. I thank everyone who took the time and sent in their pictures to me so I could include them with the Dirt Rooster's and my annual contest. As the count stand of today, the Rooster is up to 35 and I am up to 40. For us here in the deep south, the swarm season is all but over, but I know it continues on in other places all over the world.
