Creating Yamadori Bonsai??? Surely Not! Heresy! Right?

Can Yamadori be created artificially so to speak? Of course not. However with a bit of patience interestingly shaped trees can be created that mimic some of their characteristics. Get yourself a cheap tree, or grow one from seed or take a cutting, then let it grow, cut back, grow, cut back and repeat . If you don't kill it you will get something more interesting than a standardly grown tree.
