Liner Notes:

I started every gig with this song for many years. And before that, it was the second song I'd play, after "Running to Stand Still." I was all about easing into the vocals, as it were, and both songs served that purpose well. I'm looking forward to performing it in Liverpool for the first time in a couple of weeks (21/5/19). I'll be joined by the talented MonaLisa Twins for some Beatles at that show. And at the Epstein Theatre, no less. How cool is that? Tickets: I also have dates in London (w/ Sterling Cottam, and feat. Filthy Gorgeous) and Bilston (I'll be taking requests). for details.

I'm a big Beatles fan. Not quite as big as I used to be, but that's all about diet and exercise.... I still love them as much as ever. I can't wait for my Beatles orchestral concert with my Denver-based Beatles band, Rubber Souls and the Denver Pops Orchestra in Castle Rock, Colorado, on August 23, 2019. Tickets:
I get to play some piano. :) Here's a playlist of some highlights from last year's show:

This is such a great song. It's hard to separate this song visually from that scene in "Help!", where John is strumming a 12-string, lounging in the living (sitting?) room. Everyone's flirting with the lady in pink ("Beatles, hello!"), Ringo is sitting on (in?) the floor playing tambourine, Paul is bobbing up and down as he plays bass, the flute player is sitting on the...grass? It was John in his self-professed "Dylan" phase, but this is the Beatles, man. And them "doing" almost anyone escalates it, at least for my money. And throw in some 6/8 time and a 12-string? Yeah, I'm all in. I hope you enjoyed my little rendition.

Thanks to Kurt Moorehead for contributing the flute solo. I'm happy to have Kurt as a member of my Denver-based band, the Mike Massé Band. Not only can he rock a flute, in the band he also plays keyboards, guitar, and a mean saxophone. I look forward to recording "Baker Street" with him before too much longer. And come see our band--80s and 90s classic rock, we're pretty great! And we're available for private events.

Thanks for reading, and please remember to Like, Subscribe, and Share. It all helps a lot.

Love,
-Mike
