The Philippines eyeing to acquire US surveillance planes due to be retired from service The Philippines is looking into acquiring one or two units of Lockheed P-3C Orion maritime surveillance aircraft that will be retiring from United States military service. This was revealed by National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.

“It will be good if we acquire even one P3C Orion. Provided it has all its original equipment. Otherwise, it will just be another transport plane. We will find out if we can get one or two,” Secretary Lorenzana said as quoted by GMA News Online.

“Very important as our domain awareness will be greatly enhanced,” Lorenzana said.
