Question from the floor: what's ASMR?
I'm glad you asked.
You know that nice, tingly sensation you sometimes get when you hear certain sounds, like someone speaking softly or the sound of a pen writing on a piece of paper? Turns out... that's a genuine thing. It's called autonomous sensory meridian response, or ASMR for short, and is caused by various – even countless! – audio and visual stimuli such as whispering, slow hand movements, tapping on certain objects, and so on. Basically, if you want to relax and calm down after a long, hard day, or if you're feeling stressed or depressed (hey, that rhymes), you can watch these particular ASMR videos. Most people watch them for the so-called ''tingles''; however, not everyone experiences ASMR in the same way. Some experience it, others don't. You don't have to possess that ''ability'', if you could call it that, in order to watch these videos. You can watch them for the pure enjoyment, the relaxing effect, or what have you.
